Who We Are
Our purpose is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever!
We do this by obeying Jesus Christ’s command: “Go into the world and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you.”
So we are committed to sharing with all people the Good News of salvation through faith in Christ. We are dedicated to building a welcoming and encouraging church family, where Christians can be taught the Bible, and be a blessing and encouragement to one another and to our community.
What To Expect At SVCC
We are a new church, that usually meets for worship at Panorama Hills Community Centre in northwest Calgary on Sundays at 11:00 AM (if the community hall is unavailable, we meet elsewhere and will announce it on the website). Our congregation has the benefit of a small-group atmosphere that is friendly, joyful and relaxed. Our worship music is a mix of the great, timeless hymns of church history and the joyful, passionate contemporary choruses of today. Our teaching is Bible-based and Bible-centred, with opportunity for interaction through questions and discussion. Our preaching is expository, meaning it takes for its theme the intended message of the biblical passage being preached.
